Users help users:

Before you participate in an internet race, please consider these points:

Set your screensaver to disabled before you start rowing.
Don't use the view "Auto" when you are rowing with many people because it works faulty when the rowers have different speeds.
The server doesn't save the results when you setup a race with the category "time" and longer than one hour.
If you are rowing with the category "time" and somebody loses the connection, the race results will not be saved on the server.
Set your connection to the internet for a time longer than the race duration. Some providers disconnect you because you are more than established time "15 minutes" of "inactivity".
If you lose the connection in the middle of the race, don't close the program! Continue rowing and ask a member of your family to try the connection to the internet again and log in to e-row server before you are finished.
Close all your programs (except e-row) before you begin the race. Some programs take the foreground (for example ICQ) repeatedly and you can not see the screen or your e-row window is no longer the active window.
Connect the cable to the PC before you open the race. The message "retry" is faulty because your results will not be saved.

Learn your GMT position (It is different in summer and winter in some regions). Your PC time zone can be wrong and e-row shows you a false local start time of a race. Check your PC time settings when you log on e-row. If the GMT time is incorrect log off and log in again until the message from e-row about your GMT is right. This is not an elegant solution but we didn't find another one.

In case that you have to calculate manually your GMT, you can use this time converter:
