| Set your screensaver to disabled before you start rowing. | |
| Don't use the view "Auto" when you are rowing with many people because it works faulty when the rowers have different speeds. | |
| The server doesn't save the results when you setup a race with the category "time" and longer than one hour. | |
| If you are rowing with the category "time" and somebody loses the connection, the race results will not be saved on the server. | |
| Set your connection to the internet for a time longer than the race duration. Some providers disconnect you because you are more than established time "15 minutes" of "inactivity". | |
| If you lose the connection in the middle of the race, don't close the program! Continue rowing and ask a member of your family to try the connection to the internet again and log in to e-row server before you are finished. | |
| Close all your programs (except e-row) before you begin the race. Some programs take the foreground (for example ICQ) repeatedly and you can not see the screen or your e-row window is no longer the active window. | |
| Connect the cable to the PC before you open the race. The message "retry" is faulty because your results will not be saved. | |
|
Learn your GMT position (It is different in summer and winter in some regions). Your PC time zone can be wrong and e-row shows you a false local start time of a race. Check your PC time settings when you log on e-row. If the GMT time is incorrect log off and log in again until the message from e-row about your GMT is right. This is not an elegant solution but we didn't find another one. |
In case that you have to calculate manually your GMT, you can use this time converter:
